Making this green tourmaline pendant was just to follow what nature gave me. This special green tourmaline terminated point was found in a Vietnamese tourmaline lots I bought from a local dealer. As a typical tourmaline crystal from, the green tourmaline has a perfectly beautiful green color. You can read more about tourmaline from Vietnam here.  

To honor the beauty of this green tourmaline , I decided to use the freestyle wax pattern, which I did the wax pendant shape and the silversmith did the casting and finished process.

And here we have this beautiful and green tourmaline pendant .

Green tourmaline meaning

• Distinguished by green color but there are two type of green tourmaline: Verdelite and Chrome.
• While Verdelite is used for green stones that are coloured by iron, Chrome tourmaline is caused chromium and/or vanadium. The latter element may be the major contributor to the colour. These stones look pink to red through the Chelsea colour filter, whereas stones coloured by iron do not.
• Chrome Tourmaline is a very beautiful green crystal, and is one of the most sought after types but it is hard to tell by eyes among green tourmaline crystal.
