To make this faceted blue kyanite pendant, I purchased faceted blue kyanite stones from India, then I selected the best ones which high transparity. Here is my favorite part – designing. 

The designs have to be simple without too many details but still have some unique features. I drafted the whole collection on paper, just a quick draft by pencil then handed it to the goldsmith. He has been working with me so long enough to understand what I want in those designs.

And after a few weeks of waiting, here we have this beautiful and tiny faceted blue kyanite pendant .

KYANITE INFORMATION

Kyanite has a few colors such as blue, green, white and black. 

• One interesting fact is that Kyanite is one of the two minerals on the planet that neither accumulates nor retains negative energy, and therefore never needs cleansing.
• Kyanite is also extremely heat resistant and used in manufacturing many products such as furnaces, shells, blocks, weapons, porcelains, etc.
• The most notable feature of Kyanite is its hardness, On the Mohs scale of mineral hardness, kyanite ranges from 4.5 to 5 in the longitudinal direction and from 6.5 to 7 in the perpendicular one. Because of this, Kyanite in Greek was a combination of words “di” and “stenos” which mean “two” and “strength” respectively.
